Challenges in internal financial planning
In the BKB Group, the annual planning of the two individual institutions Basler Kantonalbank and Bank Cler was created in the past using Excel. The manual process was time-consuming, required many resources and was prone to errors. In addition to the general optimization of the processes, it was of central importance for the BKB Group to introduce a planning tool that guarantees a high level of user-friendliness and can therefore be used quickly.

After considering various planning solutions, the BKB Group opted for the Jedox planning tool. One of the main arguments was the extensive Excel integration in the application, which facilitates the work of the controllers in particular. In addition to technical support, iRIX was able to support the BKB Group during the implementation phase, above all with targeted coaching of the core team. Until the introduction of Jedox, the end users were enabled to use the new solution and to take over a large part of the support themselves.
Added value for the customer
The new planning process is more efficient overall and the error rate has been reduced through the introduction of automatisms and workflow components. Data security has also been increased and the evaluations of the planning data can be accessed online more easily and quickly. A solution was found for all the needs and requirements that existed at the start of the project. The project was implemented within the specified budget. The integrated workflow and the resulting increase in efficiency also make it possible to focus more on quality instead of quantity.
